Project Finance Analyst (Financial Modelling)

Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Head of Project Finance and M&A for the MEA region as the Project Finance and M&A Associates, the Project Finance and M&A Analyst requires excellent excel skills with a proven track record in working with large and complex spreadsheets. He will also require a proper understanding of financial principles and project appraisal techniques with financial modeling experience along with an understanding of modeling best practice principles.

The Project Finance and M&A Analyst will cover the following main responsibilities:

–  Management of the Financial Model of a Renewable Energy Project (Solar, Wind, Hybrid) during the entire phase of a project from its preliminary assessment and development to financial close and construction phase;

–  Process data and accurately reflect assumptions through the financial model suite Undertake analysis and quantification of risks and scenarios to support decision making;

–  Production of financial and investment returns analysis for the purpose of reporting to senior management

- Support to all phases of a Project Financing from start of the Due Diligence to Financial Close

- Support to all phases of an M&A transaction (buy side or sell side)

- Support to all activities related to the preparation of a bid

–  Preparation of presentations on the activities of the company and on specific topics as required;

– Support and preparation of internal memoranda according to the company’s standards and approval process


– BSc in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline

– Certification from a recongised accounting/finance body
